A film by Clint Eastwood. With Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon, Tony Kgoroge, Patrick Mofokeng, Matt Stern.
Boys The times are changing. And we must change too.
What can be used to change an entire nation? If you ask Nelson Mandela, the first day when, after 27 years in prison, finally savor the taste of freedom. Change is in the air, South Africa seems poised to all define what a historic occasion. But how to give impetus to this process, making it share with millions of citizens and especially by reconciling the fears of whites and blacks of the desire for revenge? The world championship of rugby that eye may become
ASION. Also because there is the national team, the Sprinboks, which until then was considered the symbol of apartheid.
But the " forgiveness frees the soul, and remove the fear " Mandela and betting also part of his political prestige on the fact that more than economic treaties and appointments of ministers, to help South Africa to find a new form of coexistence may be just the rugby and sport. Risk in first person, how he learned to do in jail, to advance his political project of creating a nation able to accommodate all its citizens. And this will be a determining factor in engaging those around him in a new challenge. Eastwood explores, through the reconstruction of this historic event, the possibility of coexistence of opposites, like, different aspirations, in a work that is truly a team. But sometimes, despite Invictus reveals the great capacity visionary Clint Eastwood, the film seems to serve some simplifications too, as if the author missed the theme of happy endings, especially in the second half in which the story directs docile to what really happened then. But the ingredients to excite the spectators are all there. If you cry watching the Olympics on television, this film does not leave you indifferent.
The Springboks, chasing and winning against all odds the title of world champions in the field become the symbol of the new South Africa. They do it with sweat, the sacrifice, but most fail because there are really a team, traveled by the thrill the challenge and energy. That same inspiration that Mandela tries to bring in his country. Invictus therefore is able to provide all the historic significance of the challenge the same Mandela gave to his country, at a time when change could not be postponed.
